Reflection using the Project Zero Connect - Extend - Challenge routine

Challenge - finding spaces to house our projects is an ongoing challenge. Also a challenge is getting students to consider a range of materials. A way to do this is to shift the order of units so the 3M unit (methods, media and materials) runs prior.

Reflection using the Project Zero Connect - Extend - Challenge routine
Connect - the workshop connected well to the Year 10 Wearable art unit as well as sustainable practices that Makerspace is aiming to refine.
Extend - The workshop has extended my thinking on the following ways;
- We can challenge how we use "waste" yet still maintain an organised space not just full of "just in case" pieces but "just in time supplies" instead
- What if we colour coded our waste in the wearable arts field and then could use it later in the term as a design challenge activity?
- "Wearable" does not just include fabric - there is scope to combine wearable art and photography to document which we could use the everyone can create photography iBook to assist with
Challenge - finding spaces to house our projects is an ongoing challenge. Also a challenge is getting students to consider a range of materials. A way to do this is to shift the order of units so the 3M unit (methods, media and materials) runs prior.
